Oh My...

They say good things come to those who wait...Oh how I beg to differ! Nay! Good things come to those who wake up!

After several days of waking up around 11:00, I decided I'd better start waking up at a "decent hour" (meaning a really ungodly hour for someone on Winter Break, but a pretty good one for someone during school), otherwise, I would be totally screwed up once school started. So I took it upon myself Sunday night to set my alarm to a "decent hour" to wake up and went to bed. The next morning my alarm went of at said "decent hour" and I promptly got up, turned that stupid thing off, and went back to bed, only to wake at 12:15 later that day. I was very disgusted with myself for doing this, so, last night I once a gain set my alarm for this "decent hour"and then laid in bed for a couple hours trying to go to sleep. This morning, my alarm went off, I got up and hit the snooze button, and went back to my bed. Just as I was about to snuggle under my comfy covers I glanced at my window, I saw something orange glowing through my blinds. I peeked through the blind curiously and was amazed at what I saw. I got up quickly and peeked through the blinds again, "Oh my gosh..."I then quickly opened my blinds, letting in the light of the most beautiful sunrise I've ever seen in my life. The light of the waking sun shone though the clouds turning them the most beautiful shades of pink and orange. I stood there at my window for a good while, just staring at the beauty all around me.

I am continually amazed by the glory and splendor of the earth that God created, and amazed at the grace he shows me by allowing me to see such a wondrous thing as this sunrise was. I cannot describe how content and loved I felt standing there staring at this miraculous picture spread before my window. I felt so amazed, so loved, to think that the same God who created such a beautiful sight, created me, and loves me more than I could ever imagine or know. I am truly blessed to be so loved.

So people, get outta your bed sometime and appreciate the beauty around you! There is much to be thankful for!
