Hey guys! Merry Christmas!

I apologize for my grotesque lack of postings, but not much has been happening at the Harrison household. (Unless you really want to get into the gruesome details of my personal life, and I don't think you guys really want/need to hear that.) A couple of old friends stopped by the house yesterday, Megan Siefert and Scotty Lawrence. Megan is a friend of Nathan and I from last school year and Scotty is Nathan's best friend who is going to college in the far-off land of Idaho. I miss hanging out with Megan during lunch and I miss seeing Scotty all of the time, he's a sweet guy.

Ah yes, I had the rare "privledge" of going to my Grandmother's yesterday to work. I spent the day doing lots of housewifey little chores like polishing silver, vacuuming, folding laundry and mopping the floor. I was regular June Cleaver. (Sadly I forgot to wear my 50's dress and pearls. What a shame.)

I love my Grandma very much...but she's weird. Every towel has to be folded in a certain manner, and people can't tell her what they want for Christmas, she gets them whatever she thinks they want. For my birthday this year I got a ceramic clown doll and a hot pink shirt with cats on it. Need I say more? We are going to her house on Sunday to celebrate Christmas with my Dad's side of the family, I fear the time of gift-opening immensely. My Grandma seems to be under the impression that I am still eight years old and infatuated with all things involving the color pink, Barbies and other doll things. She's really a cool Grandma (I mean come on, do any of your grandmothers have a X-box they actually play with?) But I wish she would, I don't know, ask our opinion on what we want as gifts? Or just give us a gift certificate to some store? Mom says it's just not her way, and there's no sense in trying to change her mind after it's been made up. So I guess I'm just doomed to a Sunday filled with dolls and the color pink.
