Pleasure in the job puts perfection in the work. - Aristotle
Wow, this has been quite the week. Starting out with insane amounts of homework and ending with a super good day!
As I said, I had far too much homework this week what with starting a new book in English class and having two tests (one in French and the other in Biology) to study for. By Tuesday I was starting to feel a bit overwhelmed, but my stress level reached critical capacity on Thursday, the night before my French test. I went to bed feeling completely under-prepared and dreading the next day, not knowing what Friday would bring.
Friday started out pretty bad, I woke up later than I wanted to and didn't get a chance for the last minute study session I had hoped for. I got to school and got what I needed from Mrs. Peterson and then headed over to Mr. Marini's room so that I could take my English Reading CIM test. I had been told previously that the test was quite time consuming and would probably take two class periods to finish. I finished in one period with ten minutes to spare. Since I took the test on TESA (a computer program that administers the test) I was able to see my results right away and I killed that thing. It takes a score of at least 239 to pass, and I beat that by far. One teacher I talked to said the highest score he's heard of on the test is 260 and I received the lovely score of 256! Yay me! I'm really excited, but I'd like to know how the scores are determined. Soon after I finished the English test I went to French. I felt like I was going to hurl. I thought for sure I was going to flunk, but it ended up being possibly the easiest exam I've ever endured in that class. I was so relieved! I next went to my science class and discovered the results of my nerve-wracking Bio test. I got an A, I was so happy! And then I got to pretty much sit around the rest of the period seeing as it was a "make-up day" and I didn't have anything to make up. The rest of that day doesn't really merit any further comment. It wasn't all that exciting.
Enjoy the Spong Monkeys.
