....makes Lynsey a dull girl, and posting difficult.
Sorry for the lack of updates for the last month, I've been a little busy. Life has been a frenzy of projects, tests, essays, performances, homework and stress. In this time period I've neglected not only my blog, but also my bedroom-cleaning habits *shudder*, and my social life (not that I ever really had one to begin with....heh). I seem to have finally been blessed with a break from the insanity filled with little homework and many fun opportunities ahead. I think the point of this year for me is to learn to prioritize. I have to figure out what's most important, and put the emphasis on that instead of wasting extra time and energy on the trivial. I need to use time not only to take care of my homework and other responsibilities, but to take care of my physical, spiritual and emotional health, as well as making time for fun and friends.
My first, much-feared, Beaman midterm went pretty well. I escaped with my life, a little arm-crampage and a B+, and I'm pretty happy with that. If all goes as planned, I'll learn from my mistakes and do even better on my final.
A lot goes on in a month. I could write a post about as long as my arm describing the obscene amounts of time I've working on this foiled project and that confounded essay, but I’ll spare you the graphic details and suffice it to say that I've spent a lot of time in the last few weeks working. Thankfully, I have actually had some good fun recently, despite my hectic schedule. An Expressions Halloween party, shopping and a really awesome choir retreat made for a lot of enjoyment, but nothing could really compare to.....
KITTENS!
That's right, after an acceptable time of mourning passed in remembrance of our dearly departed Mittsy we welcomed two new kittens into our home. Their names are Allie and Sadie and they've been a lot of fun. Allie is the shyer of the two, but both enjoy attention and play. Bennett has had a little trouble adjusting to his new housemates, but it's going pretty well. Yesterday, Bennett and Allie were both lying on the floor mere feet away from each other! (If you want to see more kitten pictures, just scroll down the page a little bit.)
Speaking of "new additions", I will soon be welcoming a new member to my technological family. I plan on buying a Nintendo Gamecube within the next few weeks. Mario and Zelda here I come!
This is pretty much the end my post, but I can't sign off without taking time to remember my past, it's (pretty close to) the anniversary of my first post. Happy Bloggiversary to Short Like Me (The artist formerly known as The Lights Are On...But Nobody's Home) and all of my blogging friends out there celebrating their one-year anniversaries!
