Summer afternoon - Summer afternoon... the two most beautiful words in the English language. - Henry James

Ok, I know I haven't posted in over a week, but there hasn't been enough going on to warrant a good post until recently.

I've been enjoying my summer break very much, such as it has been. It's only really begun to feel like summer in these last few days. Last week was a little busy, so I was too frantic to really sit back and enjoy my freedom. As soon as the mass hysteria at my house quieted down, I really began to take advantage of my free time. On Monday I did a complete overhaul of my room and got rid of a bunch of my extra junk. My room is so clean now! It's awesome.

Tuesday I had to get up early and go to a piano lesson, and then on Wednesday I got up early for my first vocal lesson. It was really cool. My teacher is nice and I'm already learning a lot. My instructor, Dr. Uphaus, says I really am not an Alto, but should actually be a Soprano, so we're going to work on improving my upper range. I'm really glad, because I like singing high. :)

When I got home I helped my dad out a bit with stuff for a class he had to take to continue being a Driver's Ed. teacher. I drove around Troutdale a lot. It was "awesome". Today I did essentially the same thing, except I was driving around with other Driver's Ed. teachers who were taking the same class with my dad. They needed student drivers so they could do their final test thingy. This was also "awesome".

I have a couple parties and things coming up soon, and other fun stuff, so I guess the summer won't be as boring as I first anticipated. At this point I'm sensing that this vacation is going to pass by far too quickly. So sad....
