Women who seek to be equal with men lack ambition. - Timothy Leary
Hey, I'm just sayin'.....
Wow, I'm tired! Yesterday Pro Cantorum choir and the RHS orchestra and symphony went to play at the OMEA conference down in Eugene and it was a long day. I went to the first fifteen minutes of my English class first period before heading of to the Arts and Communications building. Hun out for a while waiting to get going and then spent two and a half hours on the bus going to down to Eugene. They gave us an hour for lunch during which a couple other people and myself wandered around the Hilton looking for somewhere to eat. We ended up stopping at a Chevron mini-mart and grabbing some quick snacks. Once we got back it was another two hours until our performance during which we sat around and did nothing. The choir had to warm-up in a back hallway with cooks and hotel employees rushing past every so often. The performance of the Carmina Burana went really well, we put on a good show, (At least I think we did, we'll find out in class on Monday.) but right afterwards we were rushed out of the room and hurried on the buses for another lovely two and half hour ride back to the school. When I got home I was so tired, I did a lot of sitting around. I went to bed around 11:30, but that wasn't the end of the exhaustion for yet. Oh no....
This morning I had to wake up at about 6:00 AM so that I could be at RHS at 7:00 AM to get on yet another bus and head off to District Skills competition for FBLA. I was really tired (partially due to the fact that I woke up at 2:00 AM with a horrible stomach ache and had trouble falling back asleep again) but I still did really well in my events. I did "Introduction to Business" and "Introduction to Business Communications" and got first place in both events. Nathan and Peter did well in their events too, but they can tell you about that themselves.
So, the last two days have been really good (especially in comparison to the events that plagued the begginning of my week) and I'm really hoping to keep up this "happy trend" for a while. I don't like being in a bad mood about "stuff".
